Sailing Days at HISC are a fantastic way to get small groups of people socialising, working together and experiencing something exciting and fun, in a unique spot on the South Coast.

The location of Hayling Island Sailing club is hard to beat. Situated at the end of Hayling Island, on a private sandy beach, the club has access to the renowned sailing waters of Chichester Harbour and Hayling Bay at all stages of the tide.

Hayling Island Sailing club is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from Havant train station. Havant is on the main line from London Waterloo and the fast trains take an hour and 15 minutes meaning you can travel from central London to Hayling Island in little over 1.5 hours. Southampton airport is 45 minutes away and we have good links with the A3, M27 and M3.

The Clubhouse is a modern building with great facilities for sailing, socialising , eating and drinking. We have a fully professional team who are here to look after all your needs allowing you to relax and enjoy the day.

Hands on sailing is something that everyone who is part of your day will experience. There are no barriers to entry on these days. If people haven’t set foot on a sailing boat before they will be feeling confident by the time our experienced skippers have instructed them on what to do. For those more experienced they can take the helm and be responsible for steering the boat to the finish line in the afternoon’s race.

The fleet is promoted as the ‘Modern, classic keelboat for the discerning sailor’. It is non hiking, and although fast, it is not a sportsboat. When drawing up the specification for the boat it was labelled as a ‘classic for the 21st Century’. This has undoubtedly been achieved.
