Final day of racing for the 29er Nationals at HISC has been abandoned due to strong winds.
Thus the winners are Tom Durham and George Hand with an eleven point lead over Henry Williams and Sam Batten in second place, with Gaki Jaffrezic and Julien Bloyet of France in third overall. Note that Final Results are now posted. - GJN
Four races packed into day 4 of the 29er Nationals at HISC. Tom Durham and George Hand maintain their eleven point lead, winning th eday's first and last races. Henry Williams and Sam Batten are in second place, with Gaki Jaffrezic and Julien Bloyet of France in third overall. Chris Matthews and Ed Gibbons are in fourth, tied on points with Erwan Fischer and Julien Thibault of France. - GJN
Never mind the weather . . . Tom Durham and George Hand won race 6 on day 3 of the 29er Nationals at HISC. Only one race completed Wednesday as the wind increased to 30 knots in the afternoon. They have an eleven point lead ahead of Henry Williams and Sam Batten, with Gaki Jaffrezic and Julien Bloyet of France moving into third place overall. Alex Mothersele and Hamish Ellis are fourth, tied on points with Chris Matthews and Ed Gibbons. - GJN
Tom Durham and George Hand added another couple of wins to their already impressive scoreline on day 2 of the 29er Nationals at HISC. They have an ten point lead ahead of Henry Williams and Sam Batten, with Chris Matthews and Ed Gibbons tied in third place with Gaki Jaffrezic and Julien Bloyet of France. Alex Mothersele and Hamish Ellis are fifth. - GJN

Dave Evans and Ed Powys from Corus SC win the 49er UK Nationals.
The final day of the 49er Nationals at HISC provided two contrasting races.
The first in light winds and Evans and Powys took a narrow lead in the series ahead of Simon Hiscocks and Harvey Hillary.
The final race and the wind returned to provide classic 49er conditions, Simon Marks and Jony Clegg taking the win, with Evans and Powys in second to take overall victory. - GJN
Simon Hiscocks and Harvey Hillary have taken the overall lead after day 2 at the 49er Nationals. With the first discard in action, they were able to drop their day one BFD. They are 0.5 ahead of Dave Evans and Edward Powys. These two have an 18 point lead over third placed Phil Walker and Rob Thomas. Results posted now include all rigs. - GJN
Phil Walker and Rob Thomas from Datchat Water SC lead the 49er Nationals after the first day of racing. Three races were completed in excellent conditions in Hayling Bay, but the Black flag caught some leading names and changes can be expected on day 2.
Dave Evans and Edward Powys from Corus SC were blackflagged in race 1 but went on to win the next two races, the BFD sets them back in sixth overall in the first days results as no discard is yet applied.
Winners of the first race were Simon Marks and Jony Clegg, but they also carry a BFD from race three, so languish in 15th overall. Another team to suffer a BFD were Simon Hiscocks and Harvey Hillary of HISC, who after finishing second in both the first two races, were out in race three and finish the day in ninth. - GJN

Entry and NOR
The 29er and 49er National & International Open Championships at HISC are open to all 29er and 49er class dinghies.
On-line entry is now closed, contact the HISC Office for late entry Late entries will only be accepted at the descretion of the organizing authority and an additional fee (£20) will be payable.
The entry fee for the 29er championship (24 to 28 Aug) is £165.00
The entry fee for the 49er championship (22 to 24 Aug) is £80.00

Step 2 - On-line Payment - after completion of payment you will receive a confirmation email.
Step 3 - Competitors are also required to complete and present a Self-Certification Form at the HISC Registration Office before taking part in the event.

Packed Lunches will be available to purchase from the Snack Bar from: 09:00hrs

Boat Parking
Trailer storage will be in a designated area in the Carpark next to the Lifeboat station, please ensure all trailers are labelled with owners name and sail number.
Mobile homes/camper vans
Mobile homes/camper vans may not be used for sleeping in overnight on the HISC premises, which includes
the car park, overflow car park and the causeway. This is a requirement of planning legislation and is outside the control of the club.
The local authority actively monitors the club’s compliance with these regulations.
Please help by abiding with this rule so that HISC complies with the law and retains the goodwill of its neighbours.
