Day 4 - Final day of the Laser 2000 National Championship taking place at Hayling Island SC and Mike Hart and Sally Kilpatrick from Port Dinorwic SC are the Laser 2000 National Champions.
Three more races were held in Hayling Bay to complete the Laser 2000 championship on Friday. Hart and Kilpatrick completed the series without a result worse than a third place after discards. The first race went to title challengers Rob and Kate Burridge but Hart and Kilpatrick finished in second, with Jon Holroyd and Jane Rusbatch in fourth.
Race two was a win for Amy Hulley and Sophie Payne from Weir Wood SC with Rob and Kate Burridge in second and Hart and Kilpatrick safely in third place.
And so to the final race and Hart and Kilpatrick rounded off a great weeks performance with a final win and the Laser 2000 National Title. Second went to Holroyd and Rusbatch with third to the late charging Rob and Kate Burridge. - GJN
Day 3 - Day 3 of the Laser 2000 National Championship taking place at Hayling Island SC, was Mike Hart and Sally Kilpatrick day. Three races and three wins for the Port Dinorwic SC pair, who go clear leaders going into the final day on Friday.
Tied on points in second are Matt and Clare Sergeant with Jon Holroyd and Jane Rusbatch. Hart and Kilpatrick have a very consistant scoreline, both the second placed teams are already discarding high scores, so cannot afford any more errors. Also in the running are Dave and Scott Adams from Broadstairs SC, they are only two points off a top three finish. - GJN
Day 2 - Following the testing conditions out in Hayling Bay on day 1 of the Laser 2000 National Championship taking place at Hayling Island SC, the decision was to race day 2 in Chichester Harbour, as the wind continued around 20 knots. Racing on the high water in the harbour, three races were completed in fine conditions with the wind finally easing during the third race.
Chris Jordan and Gillian Jordan from Burghfield SC won the first race, with Jon Holroyd and Jane Rusbatch from Weir Wood SC in second. Race 2 went to Mike Hart and Sally Kilpatrick of Port Dinorwic SC with opening day winners, Matt and Clare Sergeant in second, with Holroyd and Rusbatch third.
In the final race Holroyd and Rusbatch were really on a roll, taking the race win to move into the overall lead with six points, one point ahead of Hart and Kilpatrick with Matt and Clare Sergeant in third, tied on eleven points with Jasper and Laura Barnham from Snettisham Beach SC and Dave and Scott Adams from Broadstairs SC.
Wednesday is a lay day and the fleet return to the water on Thursday with the final races on Friday. - GJN
Day 1 - The Laser 2000 Nationals got underway Monday at HISC. Eighty plus boats are taking part and winners of the first race were Matt and Clare Sargent of the Army Sailing Assoc. Second were Dave and Scott Adams from Broadstairs SC, third Rob and Katie Burrdge from Weirwood SC and fourth Mika Hart and Sally Kilpatrick from Port Dinorwic SC. Conditions were 15 to 20 knots with gusts reaching 25 knots. Racing will continue to Friday with Wednesday the reserve day. - GJN
Entry and NOR
The Laser 2000 National Championships at HISC are open to all members of the Laser 2000 Class Association.
A completed On-line entry form and entry fee, must be received by Hayling Island SC on or before 12 July 2009. After this date any late entries will only be accepted at the descretion of the organizing authority and an additional fee will be payable. Payment is accepted on-line by Debit or Credit Card payment only. Note: American Express is not accepted.
The entry fee includes two tickets for the BBQ and Curry nights. You can book 10th Anniversary Dinner tickets during the entry process. Extra tickets for all the Social events will be available at registration for families and partners.
Entries received in the HISC entry database without On-line payment are not valid and will be removed. Check the Entry Lists here on the website to confirm your entry acceptance. Please allow 24 hours for update.
Note that you must also be a member of the Laser 2000 Association. If you are not a member please contact the Association Membership Secretary before commencing the entry procedure.
Late Entry fee after the 12 July 2009 is £155.00 for ALL entrants.

Step 2 - On-line Payment - after completion of payment you will receive a confirmation email.
Step 3 - Competitors are also required to read the Medical Notification Form and if they answer Yes to one of the questions, to print, complete and present at Registration before taking part in the event.

Full Names of Helm and Crew are required on the Entry Forms (not just first names, initials or nicknames). When additional crew names are entered, then the day that each is sailing should be stated on registration at HISC.
Competitors who are under 18 at the start of the event are also required to complete and present a Parent/Guardian Declaration to the HISC Registration Office before taking part in the event.

Packed Lunches will be available to purchase from the Snack Bar from: 09:00hrs

Boat Parking
Trailer storage will be in a designated area in the Carpark next to the Lifeboat station, please ensure all trailers are labelled with owners name and sail number.
Mobile homes/camper vans
Mobile homes/camper vans may not be used for sleeping in overnight on the HISC premises, which includes
the car park, overflow car park and the causeway. This is a requirement of planning legislation and is outside the control of the club.
The local authority actively monitors the club’s compliance with these regulations.
Please help by abiding with this rule so that HISC complies with the law and retains the goodwill of its neighbours.
