HISC Cruiser News Update

Cruiser section

The cruising section of the website is here to help improve communication between all HISC members wishing to get involved with cruising or racing in yachts or day boats.

As a membership we have a large array of boats both on the club moorings and elsewhere within the harbour, with members cruising near and far. The cruising committee would like facilitate as much sailing as possible, helping members enjoy their cruising to the full.

In this part of the website we would also like to put news and reports of members cruising adventures large and small. Also if you are going cruising somewhere and would like the company of other boats we could post a "Notice of Passage".

Please send details to - marinemanager@hisc.co.uk

Cruiser Racing at HISC

Hayling Island Sailing club, although best known for its dinghy racing activities, does promote racing in cruisers. The unrestricted waters of Hayling bay and the Eastern approaches to the Solent provide ideal racing waters for yachts. HISC runs several open cruiser handicap events through the year and all members and visitors are invited to join in for some competitive racing and friendly socialising. There are plenty of crewing opportunities for those without their own yacht.

For more details and Cruiser Race Events see the Cruiser Racing link.

These pages also provide information regarding ferry times, moorings & charges for both members and the visiting yachtsman.
