1. Rules
Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2001 - 2004 (RRS). This notice of race may be amended by a notice to competitors from the organising authority, and when there is a conflict between the notice of race and a sailing instruction, the sailing instruction shall prevail.
2. Entries
2.1. Entries will be accepted at registration or in advance by sending a completed Entry Form (and Social Entry Form if applicable) both available from the website www.rs-association.com or www.hisc.co.uk to the HISC office.
2.2. *Entries received between the 2nd April and 16th April 2004 will be subject to a late entry levy of +50%.
2.3. *Entries will not be accepted after the 16th April 2004.
2.4. Competitors under the age of 18 years, at the time of the event shall be required to complete and lodge the parental/guardian's consent form included in the entry form with the Race Committee prior to the start of racing.

4. Scoring System
The scoring will be as per sailing Instructions and prizes allocated per day.
5. Certificates
Either the helm or crew must be a member of the RS Class Association.
6. Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be RS Racing Circuit Sailing Instructions 2003 modified for the Championship and available at registration.
7. Local Rules
7.1. No tents, caravans or camper vans are to be used on the HISC Club property which includes the causeway.
7.2. No vehicles are to be used for overnight sleeping.
7.3. All competitors agree to be bound by the Bye-Laws of Hayling Island Sailing Club.
8. Conditions of Entry
8.1. Competitors are entirely responsibly for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore and nothing, whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions or anywhere else reduces this responsibility.
8.2. It is for the competitors to decide whether their boat is fit to sail in the conditions in which it will find itself. By launching or going to sea, the competitors confirm that the boat is fit for those conditions and there are competent to sail and compete in them.
8.3. Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the owners and / or competitors, nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the race and the event, and include Hayling Island Sailing Club, the organising authority, the race committee, the race officer, patrol boats and beach masters.
8.4. The provision of patrol boats does not relieve the boat of her responsibilities.
8.5. Each boat is required to hold adequate insurance and in particular to hold insurance against third party claims in the sum of at least £2,000,000 (or the equivalent in any other currency).
