Race Duty at HISC 2008 . . . .

This year HISC is introducing an on-line Duty Calendar to allow members to choose the events and type of duties they wish to do during the sailing season.

Every member will have received a letter from the Club containing the Username and Password to enter the Duty page on the HISC website (available from 3 January 2008). You will also have received a "Personal duty password" to allow you to enter your duty choice into the database.

You can access the Duty page at - 2008 Duty Form removed.

You must enter the Username and Password you received to access the duty page form.

Please read through these Instructions before you enter your Duty choice.

The HISC Duties are listed in months, starting from March.

1. Pick the month you want from the drop-down list and it will update to show the events and duties available for that month - use the scroll bar to move through the days.
   
   Duties which are already filled will have the name of the member entered.
   
   
2. Click on an available duty - the details will appear in the righthand box. Then scroll to your next choice.
   
   If you make an error at any time before entering your password you can click the "Clear" button to reset the page and start again.
   
   
3. When you have chosen your duties (three duty choices may be entered at one session) you must enter your Personal duty password in the "Password" box and click the "Request Duties" button.
   
   Note: It is an option to enter your Email address, this will assist in the Duty Man scheme for swapping duties later in the season.
   
   If you make a choice above your allocated qualification level it will be rejected and you must make a new choice.

If you wish to do a duty for each day of a multi-day event, please pick the first three duties and enter your Password to complete the registration session. Then pick further duties as required, completing the registration with your personal password again - the system only allows three duties to be added at a time.

Please note that it is not possible to change duties once they are registered on the system. The duties registered in the HISC Duty Calendar will be transferred to the Duty Man scheme to allow swaps to be made throughout the season in the normal way.

NOTE:
Following some confusion over our recent communication regarding race duties I would like to clarify that there are three duties to be carried out per membership. Family members have been sent two forms as they may wish to split these three duties between them and using their individual code will ensure the correct name appears in the duty list.
