Quiz Night - The evening raised £237 . . .
The Sue and Sue's no ordinary quiz night on 6 February once again provided an evening of fun and challenges with questions that went from the easy to downright impossible. Once again this years special nautical plasticine challenge theme "Pirates of the Caribbean" brought out the very best enabling those not so witted but skilful in other ways to gain valuable places.

Forming 12 teams over 100+ club enthusiasts battled for supremacy with "Spot the Link" the "Ware's Gale Trimble" and "Sandy Pointers" storming ahead with 7 impressive points after the first round. Only four teams benefited from playing their jokers valiantly to gain maximum points.
Team Amigo were the most inconsistent, having the lowest score on a round then going on to win the challenge gaining 12 valuable points with their impressive dinghy!
Leaving "FF Sailors" (58 ½ points ) in their wake it was teams "SBS" and "Ware's Gale Trimble" who fought it out for the honours with both finishing on 62 ½ points. With "Ware's Gale Trimble" sat under the picture of Ivan Snell the tie break question was a formality leaving "SBS" marooned in the middle of the room. Congratulations to the winning team - a combined force of Fireball, Merlin Rocket and RS sailors.
Our thanks must go Queen Elizabeth Country Park, MDL Marina, and Goodwood Estate for their auction prize contribution. The evening raised £237 for the HISC Historical Archive fund.
Since starting this quiz 8 years ago in The Shed, with hot air blowers keeping us warm, various causes have benefitted from the funds raised at this quiz night including House Committee funds and the Thursday Club.
The two Sue's, Moss and Bannister, thank you for a wonderful turnout.
