Start of Season Gentle Reminder . . .

As the sun starts to shine and all our thoughts turn to going sailing and getting the most out of your HISC membership there are a few things I would like to remind you of.

Membership - As a member of the club you need to carry your membership card with you whenever you visit the club. You need this to get through the barriers and to show on request. (Byelaw 2.1)

Guests - You may bring guests to the club providing you are with them and they are signed in the visitor’s book. No one person may be signed in as a guest more than 6 times over the year. (Byelaw 2.5a)

Vehicles - The speed limit for vehicles on Club Premises is 10 mph. (Bye law 1.4a)

Vehicles are not allowed in the main dinghy park beyond the gate and bollards without permission from the Duty Manager or a Flag Officer. (Bye law 1.4e)

Animals - Dogs are not allowed on the balcony and must be kept on a short lead at all times when on club premises from the flagpole onwards. This includes all the beach area. (Bye law 1.5)

People - Wet and Sandy people are not permitted to enter any area on the 1st floor of the club house. (Bye law 3.3)

Food - Picnic meals are not allowed to be consumed anywhere within the club premises. (Bye law 3.4)

The pontoon! Please read page 121 of your year book . . .

Just to remind you that the rules are set by the Policy Committee and my team and I are tasked with ensuring that everyone complies with these rules. So please do not abuse us when we point out that you are breaking the rules as that is also breaking the rules! ( Bye law 1) - CL
