Club Racing during the Laser Worlds . . .

As you know, Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club has kindly offered to expand their own club racing to include starts for our boats over the three weekends of the Laser events later this year (4/5, 11/12, 18/19 September).

In order to allow Mengeham to plan for this, we must let them know the approximate numbers and classes of boats that intend to take advantage of their offer. They have also offered to accommodate a limited number of boats on site at MRSC if needed.

Can we therefore ask you to inform Robin Kirby in the club office if you plan to race with the Mengeham fleets over those three weekends. Also, if you would like to keep your boat at MRSC during that period, let us know. No guarantees can be made at this stage until we know how many want to do this and can discuss this with Mengeham, so an early indication of numbers is important.

Any additional expense to cover temporary membership at MRSC and storage of boats on site will be borne by HISC. We hope to be able to make firmer arrangements with MRSC by the end of June, so can we ask for your response in the next two weeks please. - Good sailing MW
