RS800 Just-Inland Championship - 2002
Due to the low water level at Datchet Water SC the RS800 Inland Championship was moved to Hayling Island SC. The Just-Inland Championship only managed one days racing as the UK was battered by storm force winds over the weekend.

Richard Lovering and James Dates of HISC were the eventual winners from the small but exclusive field, holding off the strong challenge from Mike Lennon and Nicky Griffen to take the title.

Chris Haworth and Stuart Aston started the series in flying mode taking second to Lovering and Dates in the opening race and then winning the second ahead of Lennon and Griffen.

Alan Olive and Mike Warren from Stokes Bay SC claimed the third race, with Lennon and Griffen shutting out Lovering and Dates, while Matt Adams and Mark Rhodes from Bexhill-on-Sea took fourth place to set-up a close final race.

Lovering and Dates finished the first day with another win ahead of Lennon and Griffen with David and Fiona Sayce of HISC taking third ahead of Olive and Warren.

With Sunday reaching even greater wind strengths the event was decided on the overnight scores.
