Racing for the Zhik RS Elite 2017 National Championships was completed on Saturday in strong winds in Hayling Bay.

Victory went to Russell Peters, Greg Wells and Mark Darling of the home club after a day of changing fortunes that saw Peters win three of the final four races to take the title by one point.

Zhik RS Elite Nationals - Final leading positions:

1st Russell Peters, Greg Wells and Mark Darling - 12 pts

2nd Michael McIntyre, Caroline McIntyre and Simon Childs - 13 pts

3rd Ossie Stewart, Ian Tillet and Tom Stewart - 24 pts

Entry is open to all RS Elite class boats

Entry fee per boat is £210 before 6 July 2017

Entry fee per boat is £350 after 6 July 2017

Note: Social events can be booked and paid for during On-line entry

Registration is at HISC: Wed 19 July from 16:00 to18:00 hrs

Boats will be launched on Wednesday 19 July and recovered on Sunday 23 July at:

Please ensure that all trailers are clearly labelled and easily identifiable.

Accommodation is  available at HISC.

How to get to Hayling Island SC

Reception is open daily: 09:00 - 17:00 - Tel: +44 (0)23 9246 3768

The Bar is open: 11:00 - 24:00 Saturday/Sunday. And 11:00 - 15:00 and 17:00 - 23:00 Monday to Friday.

The Restaurant is open daily: Breakfast 08:00 - 10:30, Lunch 12:30 - 14:00, Dinner: 18:30 - 21:00.

Packed Lunches will be available to purchase from the Snack Bar from: 09:00hrs

Harbour Chandlers are on site, they can be contacted on 07855 440 605.


Mobile homes/Camper vans

No mobile homes/camper vans may remain within the precincts of the club, which includes the car park, overflow car park and the causeway, between the hours of 23.00 and 07.00hrs unless they have pre-booked and paid the prevailing fee to the club office. The number of available spaces is restricted and the camper van must be parked in the allocated area as directed by the HISC Office.

Please help by abiding with this rule so that HISC complies with the law and retains the goodwill.
