RS Elite Offshore Weekend Results

Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2023

The Sparkes and Nab weekend is one of the longer running race series organised by HISC dating back over 50 years. A weekend of cruiser racing in Hayling Bay with two races on Saturday (for the Sparkes Trophy) and a single race on Sunday (for the Nab Cup). 

With various fleet options, this really is an event for anyone with access to a cruiser and is keen to see how well you can get her going. Whether you want moderately serious handicap racing or to simply get round a course as best you can without getting in anyone’s way; this is the event for you.

Entry

The Sparkes Trophy & Nab Cup is open to all monohulled cruisers, which will be rated using the NHC base handicaps.

The RS Elite Offshore Weekend is open to all RS Elite Class boats registered at Hayling Island Sailing Club.

 If you think it might be a laugh to join in but are at all concerned about the suitability of your vessel or crew, please reach out to your Rear Comm Cruising, Guy McBride (07765 897002) to chew the fat.

All competitors are welcome to come to HISC for dinner on Saturday evening where the Sparkes Trophy results will be shared.

The prize giving for the Sparkes Trophy and Nab Cup will be held after racing on Sunday in the main bar.
