HISC Training Programme

During the year we will be offering courses in the following areas - First Aid, RIB driving and rescue, radio operation (VHF), First Aid, Race Officer courses, Shore based navigation, basic sailing and Introduction to Racing.

Note - There will be a separate Youth Training Programme with courses being arranged by the Youth Committee. Contact a member of that committee for further information. HISC Programme for 2010

If you are interested in any of following courses pleases contact the Robin or Colin in the HISC Office either for more information or to put your name onto a waiting list - We try to arrange courses based upon these lists in order to satisfy demand - all courses are at HISC unless stated otherwise.

The club is running a First Aid course on Saturday 13 March. Time 09:00 start.

The course is needed to be up dated for sail and power boat instructors, but is also useful in everyday life. If you are interested please contact Robin in the Office and he can book you in on 02392463768 or email him.

Cost: Members is £35, Non members £75, Students £40.

Adult Only Sailing Sessions

These are 2 hour sessions where safety cover is provided and a triangular course will be laid out. Coaching on technique will be available however these are not instructional sessions.

Dinghy Instructor Course

Dinghy Instructor Course on 19 - 23 July. Time TBA. Candidates will require: Minimum age of 16, Valid 1st Aid certificate, either RYA course or one recognised by HSE, RYA Powerboat Level 2

Cost: £280 per person.

Pre Season Introduction to Racing - Sun 7 + Sun 14 + Sun 21 + 28 March. Time 10:00 to 01:30.

Cost: £15 per boat.

RYA Level 1 - Sat 4 + Sat 25 April + 2 May. Time 10:00 to 02:30.

Cost: £75 per person.

RYA Level 2 - Tue 28 + Wed 29 April. Time 10:00 to 04:30.

Cost: £75 per person.

Basic Skills Recap (L1 skills and beyond) - Sun 23 May + Sun 13 June. Time 10:00 to 04:30.

Cost: £75 per person.

WOW Rust Remover - Wed 9 June. Time 10:00 to 04:30.

Cost: £30 per boat.

WOW Beginner Course - Wed 16 + Thur 17 + Fri 18 June. Time 10:00 to 03:00.
