HISC programme for 2008

If you are interested in any of following courses pleases contact the HISC Office either for more information or to put your name onto a waiting list - We try to arrange courses based upon these lists in order to satisfy demand - all courses are at HISC unless stated otherwise.

First Aid Course

This is a one-day classroom based course designed to cover the basics of First Aid with particular relevance to the Sailing environment. It is an RYA certificate course and is a pre-requisite for anyone wishing to do any instructing or coaching. It is also sensible for anyone going cruising, or on a club duty, particularly as Race Officer or patrol boat driver/crew.

Nick Willis has run three First Aid Courses at HISC this year already and we do not plan to run any more until the Autumn. If your First Aid requires validation (your Powerboat 2, Instructor and Club Race Coach Certificates or only valid with an up to date First Aid lasting 3 years) then you will need to contact the HISC office who will look into organising an interim course.
