Entry is now open for the 2017 HISC Whitsun Open Regatta.

A Charity Open Pursuit Race will take place on Monday 29 May with entry on the day.

Entry

Entries are invited for open class racing from:

Flying Fifteen, RS Elite, RS200, RS700, RS800, Fireball, 29er, Solo, RS Feva, Optimist and RS Tera Classes.

Entry is also available for a handicap race fleet, this is restricted to Hayling Island SC members sailing their HISC registered boats with HISC handicap numbers in the range 499 to 1386.

Single Hander £17.50

Double Hander £20

Entry List

Format

The regatta will consist of separate race series for each named class.

Classes with fewer than ten entries may have shared starts.

It is intended that there will be a mix of race lengths to provide varied racing depending upon conditions and fleet sizes.

Sat 27 May first warning signal at 13:00 hrs

Sun 28 May first warning signal at 11:00 hrs

Number of races:  Up to ten races will be scheduled over the two days.

Two races are required to be completed to constitute a series.

Friday Night  Happy Hour 7 – 8 pm
                   Dinner Served 7 – 9 pm

Saturday       Youth and Adult Racing

                    Junior fun in the lagoon

                    After Racing Chips on the bar

 Kids Tea from 5.30 – 6.30 pm

 Family Friendly Games entertainer from 6- 8 pm in the bar

 Dinner Served 7 – 9 pm

 Live Band - FOCs

Sunday          Youth and Adult Racing

 Prize giving after sailing approx. 4 - 4.30 pm
 Regatta Tea (Cakes & sandwiches, tea & coffee) 4.30pm

 Jazz music 5 pm – 7 pm in the bar
 The movie "sing" in the training room with popcorn for juniors

 Cocktails and Shots on offer at the bar

 Dinner Served 7 - 9 with an American Theme 

 iPod disco from 9pm in the bar

Monday         Adult Pursuit Race

                    Youth sail away TBA or Youth Pursuit Race

 

Cruiser owners are invited to dress yachts overall on Sunday.

Reception open daily: 09:00 - 17:00 - Tel: +44 (0)23 9246 3768

Bar open: 11:00 - 24:00 Saturday/Sunday. 11:00 - 15:00 and 17:00 - 23:00 Monday to Friday.

Restaurant open daily: Breakfast 08:00 - 10:00, Lunch 12:30 - 14:00, Dinner: 18:30 - 21:00.

Packed Lunches available to purchase from the Snack Bar from: 09:00hrs

Boat Parking

Boats must be stored on their Trolley or Trolley/Trailer combinations. Separate road trailers or stacking trailers must be stored in a designated area in the Carpark next to the Lifeboat station, please ensure all trailers are labelled with the owners name and sail number.


Mobile homes/Camper vans

No mobile homes/camper vans may remain within the precincts of the club, which includes the car park, overflow car park and the causeway, between the hours of 23.00 and 07.00hrs unless they have pre-booked and paid the prevailing fee to the club office. The number of available spaces is restricted and the camper van must be parked in the allocated area as directed by the HISC Office.

Please help by abiding with this rule so that HISC complies with the law and retains the goodwill of its neighbours.
