Film Night

Film Night: Some Like It Hot - Friday 6th November 2026

Following the success of our showing of Casablanca we have decided to also have film nights on the first Friday in November and December, with seating for 45 people

Spaces are limited, as this will be a cosy affair, so make sure to book your free space via EliteLive!

Our next film will be Some Like it Hot.
Another black & white classic described as "the quintessential mad-cap farce", made in 1959, set in 1929 prohibition America. When Chicago musicians Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) accidentally witness a gangland shooting, they quickly board a southbound train to Florida, disguised as Josephine and Daphne, the two newest - and homeliest - members of an all-girl jazz band. Their cover is perfect.. until a lovelorn singer (Marilyn Monroe as Sugar Kane), falls for "Josephine", an ancient playboy (Joe E. Brown as Osgood Fielding III) falls for "Daphne", and a mob boss (George Raft as Spats Columbo), who refuses to fall for their hoax, wants them put on ice for good!
