RYA Instructor Courses

The pre-entry is an essential prerequisite to the RYA dinghy instructor course, it is a practical test determining whether a candidate has the required sailing ability and seamanship to become an instructor.

Upon successful completion of this RYA professional qualification candidates will be able to teach new sailors elements of the National Sailing Scheme under the supervision of an RYA Senior Instructor.

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with skills and techniques to coach racing to youth and adult sailors.

A start windsurfing instructor is a competent windsurfer trained to teach and assess the Start Windsurfing Course syllabus of the RYA a national windsurfing scheme and stage 1 and 2 of the Youth.
