Summer Training Camp 2026

Dates: 25^th to 28^th August

Summer Training Camp is the best way to get out on the water and improve your sailing this summer! 

We are running courses from everyone from complete beginners getting their first experience on the water up to those looking to learn to race and sail with spinnakers! 

These courses will follow the RYA Pathway which is the perfect way to expand your sailing knowledge and experience.

Levels:

Beginners (RYA Stage 1)

This group will take you from your first ever sail to being comfortable sailing across the wind! The emphasis is on building confidence in the boat whilst having fun on the water. This is where the love of sailing starts and all participants will be working towards gaining their RYA Stage 1 certification. 

• With your own boat: £295 
• With a HISC Hire boat: £330 

Improvers (RYA Stage 2/3)  

RYA Stage 1 or equivalent experience is required to take part in this course. 

This group is for people that are confidence in a boat and can sail across the wind. This group will be focusing on taking their skills to the next level and becoming independent sailors. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 2 or 3 award depending on ability.  RYA Stage 1 or equivalent experience is required to take part in this course. 

• With your own boat: £295 
• With a HISC Hire boat: £330 

Feva Intro (RYA Stage 4) 

RYA stage 3 or equivalent is required to take part in this course. 

Transfer your sailing skills from a single hander to a double hander. This course will refresh many of the skills covered in Stage 3 in a crewed boat whilst introducing some double hander specific skills. Sailing with a friend adds to your sailing fun. Single bookings available – if you don’t already have someone to sail with, please get in touch and we’ll try and pair you! 

• With your own boat (pair): £450 Per Boat 
• HISC Hire boat (Pair): £550 
• HISC Hire boat (Solo): £275 

Feva Improvers (RYA Sailing with Spinnakers) - (1:6 Ratio, Min, 2 boats) 

RYA Stage 4 or equivalent experience is required to take part in this course 

This group is for people that are established pairs in an RS Feva and can sail upwind/downwind/tacking and gybing. With support from our qualified instructors the focus will be learning to sail the RS Feva utilising all the sails including the spinnaker. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Sailing with Spinnakers.

• With a HISC Hire boat (Pair): £550 

Start Racing: 

RYA Stage 3 or equivalent experience is required to take part in this course. 

If you are already happy sailing upwind, downwind and are confident tacking or gybing close to other boats, the next step is to step into racing and show off those skills on a racecourse. We will cover starting, basic rules and tactics and fine tune your technique which will help you have the confidence to take part in your first club race.
