505 and Fireball Open Meeting - Report

Last weekend we hosted our penultimate open event of 2025, with the Fireball and 505 fleets at HISC. 

The fleets were spoiled with conditions on Day 1 and managed 4 races in total over the course of the weekend. 

In the Fireball class, it was HISC duo, Georgia Booth and Andrew Davenport, that came out on top, finishing third or higher in each race, including a victory in Race 2. They just edged Chips Howarth and Vyv Townend to victory, with Peter Gray and Richard Pepperdine finishing in third overall. 

As for the 505s, it was a HISC dominated Top 4, but it was Michael Sims and Carl Gibbon that took overall victory with two race wins across the four races. Ian Pinnell and Charles Dwyer came next in second place, with Roger Gilbert and Ian Mitchell rounding out the Top 3.
