Thursday Club Finishes Its 20th Season

The Thursday Club, Hayling Island Sailing Club’s Community Youth Sailing Scheme, held its end of season awards evening at the end of September ending another successful if incredibly challenging year.

The weather, especially the wind god, did not look kindly on us and we lost six of our fourteen possible sessions.

However, as ever the youngsters, and there were forty-three of them this season had a fun time and learnt a great deal when we could go sailing.

Our grateful thanks go to all those who volunteered each week and to all the parents, grandparents and carers who brought their children along each week. Without them there would be no Thursday Club.
